Bunbury Youth Precinct

This project at Luciana Park, Bunbury, involved constructing a youth precinct, mirroring the Sienna Wood project. We:

The project involved:

• Liaising with all key stakeholders to reduce the Project’s impact on the daily operations of the community.
• Decorative Concrete Paths ~4000m2 pram ramps and garden kerbs.
• Installation of drainage including subsoil infiltration trenches, ACO Strip Drains, pump station, PVC pipe and grates throughout the skatepark and paved areas.
• Earthworks and final trimming to design levels (bulk earthwork was by others).
• Installation of irrigation systems for turf areas and surrounding garden beds.
• Soil preparation for turf and plantings.
• Installation of ~5,000m2 of turf;
• Hydroseeding to ~3500m2.
• Planting of over 1300No. 140mm pots, including watering and fertilising.
• Planting of over 70No. trees ranging from 100L to 500L including watering and fertiliser.
• 13-Week Consolidation Period.
• Mulching of landscaped areas.
• Installation of a variety of playground soft fall treatments, including rubber soft fall and sand soft fall.
• Construction of ~3000m2 of skatepark area including bowls, quarter pipes, plaza area, rails, stairs, snake run, ledges, etc.
• Installation of balustrade and handrail to seawall edge, skatepark areas and stairs.
• Installation of decorative and floodlighting.
• A Youth Precinct building includes a community area, public toilets, kitchen and storage.
• Installation of new park furniture, including but not limited to, picnic tables, bench seats, tables, bike racks, drinking fountains, bollards, disability access barbeques and waste bins.
• Installation of a custom climbing net structure.
