The Ballajura Intergenerational Playspace (Weitj Park) project was a resounding success, showcasing our expertise in bulk earthworks, drainage installation, and high-quality finishes across various construction elements. From the seamless installation of the 1200m³ drainage cell to the detailed craftsmanship of concrete pavements and playground equipment, each phase of the project was executed efficiently and to a high standard. Effective coordination between subcontractors, strategic problem-solving, and cost-saving measures played a key role in delivering an outstanding outcome for the City of Swan while maintaining budget and timeline constraints.
The Project Included:
- Clearing and bulk earthworks.
- Construction of a 1200m3 subsurface drainage cell.
- Construction of overflow water retention basins, complete with retaining walls.
- Concrete pavements with coloured, exposed aggregate and timber stamped finishes.
- Installation of new hydraulic services for water play areas, drink fountains and toilet block.
- Installation of new electrical services for park/ street lighting and park barbecues.
- Installation of CCTV throughout the entire park including construction of a security server room.
- Construction of a toilet block and sewer pup station including connection to existing sewer.
- Parking facilities in both asphalt and brick paving finishes.
- Design and fabrication of bespoke art pieces.
- Supply and installation of over thirty separate pieces of paly equipment separated over six separate play areas.
- Playground fencing and gates around the entire park.
- Supply and installation of a custom nine-metre-tall centre piece play tower.
- Softfall mulch and rubber to all play areas.
- Installation of shade sails.
- Shade shelters, picnic tables, bench seating, drink fountains and bike racks.
