Advanteering successfully completed the Main Roads WA project in April 2022. The project involved replacing a temporary Bailey Bridge on Agostino Rd, a short road serving four residential properties in Kelmscott that crosses the Canning River.
The project involved:
Preparing existing bridge abutments for the new structure.
Installing elastomeric bearing pads.
Fabricating, treating, and delivering 16m 610UB125 steel girders with a precamber.
Designing and erecting a falsework system to support cantilevering formwork and edge protection.
Pouring an in-situ concrete deck meeting MRWA specifications.
Blending the existing road pavement to match the new bridge deck levels.
Laying 50mm dense graded asphalt on the bridge deck and approaches.
Installing a safety barrier system, including threi-beam, w-beam, transitions, and end treatments.
We are proud to report that the project was efficiently managed without any environmental incidents, and all work was completed on schedule and within budget.
