C Shed at Victoria Quay, Fremantle, is a historic landmark used throughout the 20th century for unloading cargo and welcoming passengers, including Queen Elizabeth II. Over time, it deteriorated due to wear, termites, and environmental factors.

Fremantle Ports decided to restore C Shed to preserve its heritage and ensure safety. The restoration aimed to maintain its structural integrity and adapt it for modern use, transforming the area into a commercial and retail precinct.

Key benefits of the project include:

  • Preserving Cultural Heritage: Respecting the region’s history while improving the structure.
  • Enhancing Public Space: Creating an inviting area that blends with its surroundings.
  • Promoting Economic Growth: Attracting tourists and boosting local businesses.
  • Sustainability: Minimizing environmental impact by repairing rather than replacing materials.

This project showcases Advanteering's ability to tackle challenges, innovate, and deliver excellent results.
