Advanteering were engaged to construct Western Australia's inaugural 1.4km criterium cycle track with earthworks, CCTV, lighting, electronic track timing system (ETTS), digital notice board (DNB), landscaping (including planting and irrigation), and related site enhancements.
This included:
- Clearing of the native vegetation and demolition of existing paths and fencing;
- Construction of a 1.4km long x 6m wide criterium racing cycling track.
- Realignment of the red asphalt dog walking path.
- Fencing and balustrades;
- Soft landscaping including turf and trees to the events area;
- Furniture including a shelter, bike racks and bench seats;
- Installation of a 2.5m x 1.5m LED community notice board/track timing results display.
- Traffic management to maintain public past the construction zone to the facilities at Splendid Park;
The project was executed seamlessly, with no environmental or safety incidents. It was completed on schedule and within budget. Advanteering takes pride in delivering this pioneering facility, which offers a secure environment for criterium training and racing, a first of its kind in the state.
