Advanteering completed these works for the City of Perth in July 2022.
Scope of works included:
- Remove 400m of existing PSP.
- Bulk earthworks to achieve design levels
- Construction of 2 x limestone rock revetments
- Construction of beach for Trinity College
- Construction of new 2.5m read asphalt path with flush kerbs
- Drainage upgrade
- Lighting for the full length of path
- Irrigation to entire site
- Street furniture
- Soft landscaping
The project included:
- Working with DBCA to ensure appropriate construction activities within the Swan River;
- Traffic management to safely detour pedestrians and cyclists around the construction site.
- Clearing works including removal of existing red asphalt PSP, existing electrical infrastructure and furniture and equipment.
- Earthworks to form design contours across 7000m2;
- Implementation of a silt curtain for all marine construction activities.
- Construction of 75m long limestone biscuit armour revetment;
- Construction of 80m long limestone armour revetment in close proximity to protected trees;
- Installation of 1200dia. Reinforced concrete drainage line underwater;
- Installation of 300m of PSP lighting including all civil and infrastructure works;
- Installation of 150mm thick limestone subbase, including edge deepening, for new PSP
- Installation of fibre reinforced flush kerbs on both sides of the new PSP;
- Installation of a 40mm thick red asphalt wearing course;
- Irrigation to 4000m2 of garden beds and 2500m2 of turf;
- 4000m2 of planting and mulching and 2500m2 of turf installed;
- Hardscaping including softfall rubber exercise equipment area, concrete slabs, concrete crossovers and limestone access paths.
- Installation of furniture and outdoor exercise equipment.
The project was effectively managed without environmental incident. All of the works were completed on time and on budget.
