The Mandurah Estuary Pool project included the construction of reinforced concrete retaining walls, reclamation, terraces, stairs, an access ramp, and beaches on the Mandurah Eastern Foreshore.
The Project Included:
- Demolishing the existing rock groyne and limestone wall.
- Improving the ground through surcharging.
- Excavation and earthwork.
- Dewatering with appropriate protection and management.
- Installing reinforced concrete retaining walls with subsoil drainage and backfill compaction.
- Installing Geotextile Sand Containers (GSC) for scour protection.
- Creating terraces, stairs, and access ramps for promenade-to-water access.
The project was completed on time and within budget, with no environmental incidents.
