Advanteeering is proud to have successfully delivered Stage 3 of the Glenbrook Bridge and Walkway in John Forrest National Park for DBCA. Constructed within a sensitive bushland environment and involving complex structural installation works, the project demonstrates our team’s ability to plan thoroughly, adapt quickly, and execute with precision. From challenging ground conditions through to intricate crane lifts and high-quality architectural finishes, the job ran strongly and finished as a standout piece of infrastructure that blends seamlessly into its natural surroundings.

This Project Included:

  • Full establishment within a live National Park environment with strict environmental controls and minimal vegetation disturbance.
  • Selective clearing and pruning works completed without removing any mature trees for crane pad construction.

  • Bulk earthworks and preparation of bridge foundation zones across a 250m spread-out alignment.

  • Stabilisation of predominantly clay foundation material using 5% cement treatment and in-situ testing to verify bearing capacity.

  • Specialised granite removal using a 40mm drilling grid and expanding grout cracking methodology to safely fracture rock.

  • Construction of reinforced concrete pad footings with cast-in bolt cages set out to tight survey tolerances.

  • Formation and pouring of reinforced concrete abutments including integrated service provisions.

  • Design, construction and geotechnical verification of three engineered crane pads along an existing firebreak.

  • Delivery, assembly and staged installation of prefabricated steel bridge modules within a constrained bush setting.

  • Execution of complex crane lifts up to 62m reach using a 250T crane, including dual lifts and sectional lifts for final spans.

  • Precise alignment and installation of steel pylons, including survey adjustments and controlled base plate modifications.

  • On-site welding and integration of the final non-pylon-supported bridge span.

  • Installation of custom handrails, flex mesh frames and structural fixings across the full bridge length.

  • Installation of merbau joists and re-milled spotted gum decking with integrated electrical and hydraulic services beneath.

  • Installation of eyelid luminaires, switchboard and hydraulic pump systems to complete bridge services.

  • Construction of architectural stone wall landing, exposed aggregate concrete works and custom bench seating.

  • Final oiling of decking, detailed finishing works and environmental rehabilitation of disturbed areas.

The Glenbrook Bridge and Walkway is a clear example of Advanteeering’s ability to deliver technically demanding infrastructure in environmentally sensitive locations. The installation gathered momentum quickly, the team performed exceptionally well under pressure, and the finished structure reflects the high standards we bring to every project. It is a result we are extremely proud of and a strong representation of Advanteeering’s capability, professionalism and commitment to quality.
